Episode lesson
“Quick favor” is not enough. A good ask says what the task is, when it needs to happen, how much effort it may take, and whether the person can decline without guilt. The clearer the ask, the cleaner the yes.
- Say exactly what you need.
- Give a realistic time estimate.
- Mention any stairs, tools, costs, pets, deadlines, or suspicious furniture.
- Add “No worries if not” and mean it.
- Say thank you after the help.
